Roast parsnips with less fat, there is nothing more to say. The cooking time of these parsnips seems incredible long, however I put them into the oven at the same time as my roast meat so everything cooks together. If you wanted to speed up the process you could leave the temperature at 200°c to reduce the cooking time.
- Fry Light
- Rock Salt
Preheat the oven to 200°c.
Top, tail and peel the parsnips.
Place in a saucepan of cold salted water and bring to the boil. Cook parsnips for 4 minutes. Drain the parsnips and leave them to dry.
Spray a baking tray with Fry Light and season the tray. Lay the parsnips on top, spray more Fry Light over them and sprinkle with extra salt.
After 20 minutes reduce the oven to 160°c. Cook for a further 80 minutes.
